Dzodze

Ghana

Dzodze is a small town in Ghana, serving as the capital and administrative centre of the Ketu North Municipal District. It lies in the south-eastern corner of the Volta Region, near the country's eastern border.

The town is an Anlo-Ewe community. According to Ewe oral tradition, some of the Ewe people settled in Dzodze after the fall of the wall of Notse during their exodus. The natives speak Ewe (Eʋe) and English, the main languages of the town.

Agbadza and Ageshe are the traditional rhythms associated with Dzodze.
