Derry, officially known as Londonderry, is the second-largest city in Northern Ireland and is located in County Londonderry. The city straddles the River Foyle, with distinct areas on both banks: Cityside and the old walled city occupy the west bank, while Waterside lies on the east bank. Three bridges—two road bridges and one footbridge—connect these two sections of the city.
