Margate

Margate is a seaside town located in the Thanet District of Kent, England, situated on the north coast of Kent approximately 16 miles north-east of Canterbury. The town covers an area of 2 miles long and administratively includes the districts of Cliftonville, Garlinge, Palm Bay, and Westbrook. According to the 2011 census, Margate had a population of 61,223.

As a traditional seaside resort, Margate has long served as a destination for visitors to the Kent coast, with its location on the English Channel making it accessible to both regional and international travelers.
