Edmonton is a town in north London, England, located within the London Borough of Enfield in Greater London. Situated 8.4 miles (13.5 km) north-northeast of Charing Cross, it is divided into two distinct areas: Lower Edmonton (also known as Edmonton Green) in the north and Upper Edmonton in the south. The town borders Enfield to the north, Chingford to the east, Tottenham to the south, and Palmers Green and Winchmore Hill to the west.
According to the 2011 census, Edmonton had a population of 82,472. As a residential area within Greater London's administrative structure, it forms part of the wider urban agglomeration that extends northward from central London into the outer London boroughs.
