Sulkava is a municipality in Finland, located in the South Savo region. It is a sparsely populated rural area in the country's eastern lake district.
The municipality has a population of 2,310 and covers an area of 769.20 square kilometres (296.99 sq mi), of which 184.52 square kilometres (71.24 sq mi) is water. Its population density is 3.95 inhabitants per square kilometre (10.2/sq mi). The substantial share of water within its boundaries reflects the lake-rich character of the surrounding region.
