Pälkäne is a municipality in the Pirkanmaa region of Finland. It has a population of 6,146 and covers an area of 738.15 square kilometres, of which 177.65 square kilometres is water. The population density is 10.96 inhabitants per square kilometre.
Onkkaala is the administrative center of the municipality. Tampere lies 38 kilometres northwest of the center of Pälkäne.
