Shendi is a town located in western Ethiopia, situated in the Mirab Gojjam Zone of the Amhara Region. The town sits at an elevation of 2,050 meters above sea level.
As a settlement in the highland regions of northwestern Ethiopia, Shendi reflects the geography and administrative structure characteristic of the Amhara Region, one of Ethiopia's major regional divisions.
