Potries is a municipality in the comarca of Safor, in the Valencian Community of Spain. It is located in the eastern part of the country, within the province of Valencia.
The town lies in the Safor region, a comarca whose administrative centre is the coastal city of Gandia. Potries is one of the smaller municipalities that make up this area, situated inland from the Mediterranean coast.
As a Valencian municipality, Potries forms part of the autonomous community of Valencia, one of Spain's seventeen autonomous communities. The Valencian Community is officially bilingual, with both Valencian and Spanish recognised as official languages.
