Lucena del Cid is a municipality in the comarca of Alcalatén, in the province of Castellón, within the Valencian Community of Spain.
It is located in the northern part of the province of Castellón, in the interior of the Valencian Community. The surrounding comarca of Alcalatén is an inland district of the province.
As a municipality, Lucena del Cid forms part of the local administrative structure of the Valencian Community, alongside the other towns and villages of the Alcalatén comarca.
