La Yesa is a small town and municipality in the comarca of Los Serranos, within the Valencian Community of Spain. It is located in the interior of the province of Valencia, in the mountainous terrain characteristic of the Los Serranos district.
The town is officially known in Valencian as La Iessa, although the local language spoken there is Spanish rather than Valencian. This distinguishes it from much of the surrounding Valencian Community, where Valencian is more widely used.
As a municipality, La Yesa is one of the smaller population centres in the comarca, with a compact urban core surrounded by the rural landscape of the region. Its position in Los Serranos places it within the sparsely populated inland area of the province, away from the coastal plain and the major urban centres of the Valencian Community.
