Chelva is a municipality in the comarca of Los Serranos, within the Valencian Community of Spain. It is located in the province of Valencia, in the eastern part of the country.
The town is known by two names: Chelva in Spanish and Xelva in Valencian. Despite the Valencian form of the name, the local language spoken in Chelva is Spanish rather than Valencian.
Chelva serves as one of the municipalities that make up Los Serranos, a comarca in the Valencian Community.
