Carricola (officially Carrícola) is a municipality in the comarca of Vall d'Albaida, in the Valencian Community of eastern Spain. It is located in the province of Valencia, within the inland mountainous area of the region rather than on the coast.
The town belongs to the Vall d'Albaida district, a comarca whose principal centre is Ontinyent. Like other municipalities in this part of the Valencian Community, Carrícola is a small, rural settlement set among the hills and valleys characteristic of the area's interior landscape.
As a Valencian municipality, it forms part of Spain's system of local administration, with its own municipal government. The surrounding comarca is known for its agricultural traditions and for the Valencian language, which is spoken alongside Spanish in the region.
