Beniarrés is a municipality in the comarca of Comtat, within the Valencian Community of Spain. It is located in the northern part of the province of Alicante, in the mountainous interior of the region rather than on the coast.
The town sits in a landscape shaped by the surrounding sierra and the nearby Serpis river valley. Its position in the Comtat comarca places it among a group of inland Valencian towns known for their agricultural surroundings and quiet, traditional character.
Like other municipalities in the Valencian Community, Beniarrés is administered as a local entity with its own town council, and Valencian and Spanish are both used in the area. The name Beniarrés reflects the region's historical Arab influence, common to many place names across Valencia.
