Ayódar is a municipality in the comarca of Alto Mijares, in the province of Castellón, within the Valencia region of Spain. It is a small inland settlement located in the mountainous interior of the province, in the eastern part of the country.
The municipality belongs to the Alto Mijares comarca, a rural district of Castellón characterised by its hilly terrain and scattered villages. As a Spanish municipality, Ayódar forms part of the country's local administrative structure, with its own municipal government.
Ayódar is one of a number of small municipalities that make up the Alto Mijares district, and it shares the comarca's inland, mountainous setting rather than the coastal character of much of the Valencia region.
