Almoines is a municipality in the comarca of Safor, within the Valencian Community of eastern Spain. It is located in the province of Valencia, in the coastal region of the country facing the Mediterranean.
The town belongs to the Safor comarca, a district whose administrative centre is the nearby city of Gandia. Like other municipalities in this part of the Valencian Community, Almoines forms part of a densely settled coastal plain characterised by a Mediterranean climate and a landscape of irrigated farmland and low hills.
Almoines is one of the smaller municipalities of the Safor, and its local administration is organised at the municipal level in common with the rest of Spain. The Valencian Community recognises both Valencian and Spanish as official languages, and place names in the region are officially rendered in Valencian.
