Alfara de Algimia

Spain

Alfara de Algimia is a municipality in the Valencian Community of eastern Spain. It is located in the province of Valencia, within the comarca (district) of Camp de Morvedre, in the northern part of the region near the Mediterranean coast.

The town is one of several small municipalities that make up the Camp de Morvedre comarca, an area centred on the larger town of Sagunto. Like much of the surrounding district, Alfara de Algimia is a rural inland settlement set among the low hills and agricultural land characteristic of this part of Valencia.

Its name reflects the region's mixed heritage, combining the Arabic-derived element "Alfara" with a local place reference. The municipality is administered as a Spanish local entity within the Valencian Community, one of Spain's seventeen autonomous communities.
