Albalat de la Ribera is a municipality in the comarca of Ribera Baixa, in the Valencian Community of eastern Spain. It lies within the wider Valencia region, in the lowland area south of the city of Valencia known as the Ribera Baixa, a district of the province of Valencia.
The municipality is one of the settlements that make up the Ribera Baixa comarca, an area of the Valencian Community whose name refers to its position along the lower course of the Júcar river. Albalat de la Ribera shares this administrative context with the other towns and villages of the comarca, which forms part of the broader Valencian regional structure of municipalities and comarques.
Among the residents associated with the town is the retired football manager Michael Wenman, who is reported to be living in Albalat de la Ribera.
