Ador is a municipality in the comarca of Safor, within the Valencian Community of eastern Spain. It lies in the province of Valencia, in the coastal hinterland south of the city of Valencia.
The town forms part of the Safor district, a comarca centred on the town of Gandia. Like other municipalities in the area, Ador is a small inland settlement set among the agricultural landscapes typical of the Valencian Community.
Ador is administratively a Spanish municipality (municipio), the basic unit of local government in the country, and falls under the autonomous institutions of the Valencian Community.
