Sestao is a town and municipality situated in the province of Biscay within the autonomous community of the Basque Country in northern Spain. It currently has a population of 27,296 inhabitants.
The municipality is located on the left bank of the Estuary of Bilbao. Due to its geographical position, it is considered part of the metropolitan area of Bilbao.
