Hernialde

Spain

Hernialde is a town in the province of Gipuzkoa, within the autonomous community of the Basque Country in northern Spain. It is one of the small municipalities that make up the province of Gipuzkoa, a region situated in the far north of the country along the Bay of Biscay.

The town forms part of the Basque Country, an autonomous community with its own distinct cultural and linguistic identity, where the Basque language, Euskara, is spoken alongside Spanish. Gipuzkoa is the smallest but most densely populated of the three provinces that make up the Basque Country, and its interior is characterised by a hilly, green landscape of valleys and small settlements.

Hernialde is a minor municipality, and the available reference material provides only its location and administrative status. It lies within Gipuzkoa's interior, in the same province as the regional capital, San Sebastián, though it is a separate and much smaller community.
