Gordexola is a town and municipality in the province of Biscay, within the autonomous community of the Basque Country in northern Spain.
It is one of the municipalities that make up the historical territory of Biscay, a province whose administrative and cultural centre is Bilbao. The Basque Country autonomous community comprises the provinces of Biscay, Gipuzkoa and Álava, and Gordexola lies within the Biscayan portion of that region in Spain's north.
As a municipality, Gordexola covers both the town itself and the surrounding rural area, the basic unit of local administration in Spain. The name is rendered in Basque; the town is also known in Spanish as Gordejuela.
