Viveiro is a town and municipality located in the province of Lugo within the autonomous community of Galicia, Spain. It is situated in the comarca of A Mariña Occidental and sits along the coast of the Cantabrian Sea.
The municipality is positioned to the west of Xove and to the east of O Vicedo. While it maintains a residential population of over 16,000 people, the local population triples during the summer months due to an influx of visitors to the coastal region.
