Ribeira is a municipality located in the province of A Coruña within the autonomous community of Galicia in northwestern Spain. It serves as the capital of the comarca of Barbanza.
The municipality is divided into nine civil parishes: Aguiño, Artes, Carreira, Castiñeiras, Corrubedo, Oleiros, Olveira, Palmeira, and Ribeira. The primary urban center and most populous area is Santa Uxía de Ribeira, while San Martin de Oleiros serves as another major point within the municipality.
