Redondela is a municipality located in the province of Pontevedra within the autonomous community of Galicia, Spain. It is situated in the comarca of Vigo and serves as a notable location along the Portuguese Way, which is one of the established pilgrimage routes of the Camino de Santiago.
The village is primarily recognized for its two major railway viaducts constructed during the nineteenth century. Because of these prominent engineering structures, Redondela is commonly known by the nickname "Village of the viaducts."
