Esgos is a municipality in the province of Ourense, within the autonomous community of Galicia in northwestern Spain. It belongs to the comarca (district) of Ourense, the same comarca centred on the provincial capital.
As a Galician municipality, Esgos forms part of the region's dense network of small inland councils that make up the rural interior of Ourense province. Its administrative identity is defined by its status as a concello (municipality) and by its inclusion in the comarca of Ourense.
