Coles is a municipality in the province of Ourense, within the autonomous community of Galicia in north-western Spain. It lies in the comarca (district) of Ourense, the surrounding administrative area centred on the city of Ourense.
The municipality covers an area of approximately 38 square kilometres. Its population was recorded as 3,150 in 2014. As a Galician municipality, it forms part of the region's network of local administrative units, with the comarca of Ourense serving as its immediate governing district within the province.
