Baños de Molgas is a municipality in the province of Ourense, within the autonomous community of Galicia in north-western Spain. It belongs to the comarca (district) of Allariz – Maceda.
The municipality is located in inland Galicia, in the southern part of the province of Ourense. Its administrative identity is defined by its status as a concello, the standard local government unit in Galicia, and by its inclusion in the Allariz – Maceda comarca, which groups it with neighbouring municipalities for regional administrative purposes.
As with other municipalities in the province of Ourense, Baños de Molgas forms part of the wider Galician cultural and linguistic area, where both Galician and Spanish are official languages. The name of the municipality associates it with the thermal bathing tradition indicated by the term "Baños," a common element in place names across Galicia.
