Valverde de Llerena is a municipality in the province of Badajoz, in the Extremadura region of southwestern Spain. It lies within the comarca (district) associated with Llerena, from which it takes part of its name.
The municipality covers an area of 41 square kilometres and had a population of 763. As with much of rural Extremadura, the surrounding landscape is characterised by open countryside and agricultural land.
