Santiago del Campo is a municipality in the province of Cáceres, in the autonomous community of Extremadura, Spain. It is located in the western part of the country, within the region that borders Portugal to the west.
According to the 2006 census conducted by the Instituto Nacional de Estadística (INE), the municipality had a population of 323 inhabitants. This small population figure reflects the rural character typical of many municipalities in the sparsely populated Extremadura region.
As a municipality, Santiago del Campo holds the administrative status of a local entity within the Spanish system of government, responsible for local governance and services for its residents. Its inclusion in the province of Cáceres places it within one of Spain's largest provinces by area, though the province overall has a relatively low population density.
