Plasenzuela

Spain

Plasenzuela is a municipality in the province of Cáceres, in the autonomous community of Extremadura, western Spain. It is a small rural settlement in this sparsely populated part of the country, near the border with Portugal.

According to the 2006 census conducted by Spain's National Statistics Institute (INE), the municipality had a population of 612 inhabitants. This figure reflects the modest size typical of many villages in the Cáceres province, where populations are often counted in the hundreds.

As a municipality, Plasenzuela holds the administrative status of a local governing unit within the Spanish system, encompassing the village itself and its surrounding territory. Its location in Extremadura places it within one of Spain's larger but less densely settled regions.
