Mengabril is a municipality in Spain, located in the province of Badajoz within the autonomous community of Extremadura. It lies in the western part of the country, near the border with Portugal.
According to the 2005 census carried out by Spain's National Statistics Institute (INE), Mengabril had a population of 442 inhabitants. The municipality is one of the smaller settlements in the province, typical of the sparsely populated rural communities found across the Extremadura region.
