Higuera la Real is a municipality in the province of Badajoz, in the autonomous community of Extremadura, Spain. It is located in the southwestern part of the country, near the border with Portugal.
According to the 2005 census carried out by the Instituto Nacional de Estadística (INE), the municipality had a population of 2,505 inhabitants.
