Casar de Palomero is a municipality in the province of Cáceres, in the autonomous community of Extremadura, western Spain. It is located in the northern part of the province, within the comarca of Las Hurdes.
According to the 2005 census conducted by Spain's Instituto Nacional de Estadística (INE), the municipality had a population of 1,343 inhabitants. The town lies in a region characterised by mountainous terrain and small, scattered settlements.
