Campillo de Llerena is a municipality in the province of Badajoz, in the autonomous community of Extremadura, Spain. It lies in the southern part of the province, within the comarca of Campiña Sur, a predominantly rural area of the region.
According to the 2005 census conducted by the Instituto Nacional de Estadística (INE), the municipality had a population of 1,624 inhabitants. Like many small municipalities in Extremadura, it is characterised by a low population density and a settlement pattern centred on its main village.
