Ultramort is a village in the province of Girona, in the autonomous community of Catalonia, Spain. It is located in the comarca of Baix Empordà, in the northeastern part of the country near the Costa Brava.
Like many settlements in this part of Catalonia, Ultramort is a small, rural municipality with a long history tied to the surrounding agricultural landscape of the Empordà plain. The village is situated close to other small towns in the Baix Empordà area, including Verges, Rupià, and Parlavà.
Ultramort is not a major tourist destination and retains the character of a traditional Catalan village. Its name is shared with few other places, and it should not be confused with larger or better-known locations in the region.
