Sora is a small village and municipality in the comarca of Osona, in the autonomous community of Catalonia, Spain. It is located in the province of Barcelona, within the inland hills and valleys of central Catalonia, north of the city of Barcelona.
As a municipality, Sora is a rural administrative unit centred on the village itself, encompassing the surrounding countryside. It belongs to the Osona comarca, a district whose principal centre is the city of Vic. The area is characterised by a dispersed, sparsely populated settlement pattern typical of this part of Catalonia.
Sora is one of the many small municipalities that make up the Osona district, and its modest size places it among the lesser-known villages of the region rather than among Catalonia's larger towns.
