Salt is a municipality located in the Gironès comarca within the Catalonia region of Spain. It is situated on the right bank of the Ter river, positioned adjacent to the city of Girona.
The municipality was merged with Girona between 1974 and 1984. Modern transportation infrastructure includes the A-7 autopista and the N-141 road, both of which pass through the area.
