Penelles is a village in the province of Lleida, in the autonomous community of Catalonia, Spain. It has a population of 431.
The settlement lies in the western part of Catalonia, within the comarca of La Noguera, a largely rural area of the province of Lleida. Like other small municipalities in the region, it is administered as a local entity (municipality) under Spanish and Catalan law.
Penelles is best known for its street art. Since 2015 the village has hosted an annual mural festival, Gargar Festival, which has covered many of its building walls with large-scale paintings and drawn visitors to the area. The murals have become the village's most notable characteristic, giving the small agricultural community a reputation as an open-air gallery.
