Montcada i Reixac, frequently referred to as Montcada, is a municipality located in the Vallès Occidental comarca within the Catalonia region of Spain. The town is situated at the confluence of the Ripoll and Besós rivers.
Due to its proximity to the northernmost neighborhoods of Barcelona, the municipality is integrated into the metropolitan area of Barcelona. As of the 2010 census, the population of Montcada i Reixac was recorded at 33,656 inhabitants.
