Capellades is a town situated in the Catalonia region of Spain. It is located in the southern part of the Anoia comarca, positioned approximately sixty metres above the Anoia river where the water flows through the Catalan Coastal Range.
The town sits above a valley that serves as a transit corridor for several transportation routes. The C-15 trunk road from Vilafranca del Penedès and the FGC railway line R6, which connects Martorell and Barcelona to Igualada, both run along the river valley below the town. Capellades is accessible from Barcelona by car, bus, or train in approximately one hour.
