Biure is a municipality in the comarca of Alt Empordà, in the province of Girona, Catalonia, Spain. It lies in the north-east of the country, in the inland area of the Alt Empordà district.
The town is situated to the north-west of Figueres, the comarca's principal city, and is linked to it by the GE-504 road. Figueres is the nearest major urban centre and the main point of reference for the municipality.
Biure is one of the smaller municipalities that make up the Alt Empordà, a comarca in the north-east of Catalonia. As a municipality, it forms part of the local administrative structure of the province of Girona.
