Anglesola

Spain

Anglesola is a village in the province of Lleida, in the autonomous community of Catalonia, Spain. It is located in the western part of Catalonia, within the comarca of Urgell, on the plains of the Urgell region.

Like many settlements in this part of Catalonia, Anglesola has a long history tied to the medieval period, when the region was contested and gradually incorporated into the Crown of Aragon. The village retains a traditional Catalan character, with its historic core and local architecture reflecting the rural heritage of the Lleida plain.

Anglesola is primarily an agricultural community, situated in a dryland farming area where cereals, olives, and other crops are cultivated. It lies near the city of Lleida and is connected to surrounding towns by local roads, making it part of the wider network of small municipalities that make up the Urgell comarca.
