Alpens is a municipality in the comarca of Lluçanès, in the province of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. It lies in the country's northeastern interior, within the wider Barcelona province but outside the metropolitan area of the provincial capital.
The town is located about 105 kilometres from the city of Barcelona and roughly 13 kilometres from Prats de Lluçanès, the capital of the Lluçanès comarca. Its position places it within the Lluçanès district, a rural area of central Catalonia.
