Almenar is a municipality in the comarca of Segrià, in Catalonia, Spain. It lies in the western part of the region, within the province of Lleida.
The town is best known historically as the site of the Battle of Almenar, one of the main engagements of the War of the Spanish Succession. The battle was fought on 27 July 1710 in the hills close to the town.
