Albons is a municipality in Catalonia, Spain. It is located in the comarca of Baix Empordà, in the province of Girona, in the northeastern part of the country near the Costa Brava.
Like many towns in this part of Catalonia, Albons has historic roots, with a village centre that preserves traditional Empordà architecture. The surrounding area is characterised by agricultural land and the gently rolling landscape typical of the Baix Empordà plain, between the Gavarres hills and the Mediterranean coast.
Albons is a small, quiet municipality whose population is spread across the village and its surrounding rural area. It lies close to other Baix Empordà towns such as La Bisbal d'Empordà and Torroella de Montgrí, and is within reach of the beaches of the Costa Brava.
