Villazanzo de Valderaduey is a municipality in the province of León, within the autonomous community of Castile and León, Spain. It lies in the northern part of the country, in a region characterised by a continental climate and a landscape of plains and low hills typical of the Leonese countryside.
According to the 2004 census carried out by Spain's National Statistics Institute (INE), the municipality had a population of 665 inhabitants. As with many small municipalities in rural Castile and León, the population is spread across the municipal territory, which includes the main settlement and outlying areas.
The municipality's name derives in part from the Valderaduey, a river of the Douro basin that flows through the region. Villazanzo de Valderaduey is one of numerous small municipalities that make up the province of León, a province whose capital is the city of León.
