Villaralbo

Spain

Villaralbo is a municipality in Spain, located in the province of Zamora within the autonomous community of Castile and León. It lies in the northwestern part of the country, in a region characterised by a continental Mediterranean climate and a landscape of plains and river valleys associated with the Duero basin.

According to the 2004 census carried out by the Instituto Nacional de Estadística (INE), the municipality had a population of 1,669 inhabitants. Like many small municipalities in the province of Zamora, Villaralbo is a rural community whose demographic profile reflects the broader pattern of modest, stable settlement typical of the Castile and León countryside.

The town is situated close to the provincial capital, Zamora, which serves as the main administrative and economic centre for the surrounding area. Its position within the province places it within reach of the region's principal transport links and services, while remaining a distinct municipality in its own right.
