Quintana del Puente is a municipality in the province of Palencia, within the autonomous community of Castile and León, Spain. It is a small rural settlement in the northern part of the country, located in the broad plains of the Castilian plateau that characterise much of this region.
The municipality is sparsely populated. According to the 2004 census carried out by Spain's National Statistics Institute (INE), Quintana del Puente had a population of 247 inhabitants. This figure reflects the modest scale typical of many villages in the surrounding Palencia countryside.
As a municipality, Quintana del Puente holds the administrative status that in Spain governs a defined territory and its resident population, encompassing the settlement itself and the surrounding land. Its location in Castile and León places it within one of Spain's largest autonomous communities, a region known for its agricultural landscape and historic towns.
