Poza de la Vega is a municipality in the province of Palencia, within the autonomous community of Castile and León, Spain. It is located in the northern part of the country, in a region characterised by the flat, open landscapes typical of the Castilian meseta.
The municipality is small and sparsely populated. According to the 2018 census conducted by the Instituto Nacional de Estadística (INE), Poza de la Vega had a population of 184 inhabitants. Like many rural municipalities in this part of Spain, it is administered as a single local entity covering the village and its surrounding area.
Its position in the province of Palencia places it within one of the larger provinces of Castile and León, a community that forms the largest autonomous region in Spain by area. The municipality's name, which includes the term "Vega," refers to the fertile river plain setting common to place names in this part of the country.
