Ituero y Lama

Spain

Ituero y Lama is a municipality in Spain, located in the province of Segovia within the autonomous community of Castile and León. It is a small rural settlement in the interior of the Iberian Peninsula, situated in the region north of the Sierra de Guadarrama and within the broader Duero river basin area that characterises much of Segovia province.

The municipality is sparsely populated. According to the 2018 census conducted by the Instituto Nacional de Estadística (INE), Ituero y Lama had a population of 365 residents. This figure reflects the pattern common to many small municipalities in rural Castile and León, where populations are limited and dispersed across a modest land area.

As a municipality, Ituero y Lama holds the administrative status that in Spain entails a local governing body (ayuntamiento) responsible for basic public services. Its location in Segovia province places it within a region known for its historic towns, agricultural landscape, and continental Mediterranean climate, though the village itself remains a minor and little-documented settlement.
